“All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.” This proverb suggests the merit of games and sports. We cannot live without food and drink. Similarly, our health will break down without exercise. It is undeniable that school life is the suitable time to learn to participate in games and sports. We provide the environment to encourage the students for games and sports. Games offer us a change from the monotony of daily life. Games are useful means of entertainment and physical activity. They help in character building. They give us energy and strength. Sports and games are means of mental and physical growth too. They improve our capability and efficiency. Games and sports are necessary after long hours of tedious study. Our games department has experienced and qualified coaches for different games. We train students to participate in various competitions at different levels. We have games like skating, karate, basketball, volleyball, football, cricket, yoga, table tennis etc. Yoga and meditation is given equal importance as it develops concentration skills.
SCHOOL GAME FEDERATION OF INDIA(SGFI)
District sports office has organized SGFI on 15-07-15.The proud and happy moments as the winning era of SIS continues. The selected students are taken to different places according to the games held.
Archery was held on 15-7-15 District level school game. The competition was held at savvy International School Gandhidham. Our school was the host of archery competition. 8 to 9 schools had participated in this competition. The students are selected for state level.
